An all-white upper artfully complements the Blue Grey suede appointments that anoint a portion of the collar and wrap around quarter panels, joining at the heel. The midsole also features this Easter-egg-blue suede texture. A smooth white leather toe gives way to a tumbled-leather tongue featuring a Yellow Ochre-embroidered Jumpman, with a small black Jordan tag at the base of the lacing system. White, asymmetrical stitched-on overlays along the shoe’s sides feature a series of the AJ 13 Retro’s signature embroidered circles.
The shoe’s holographic logo at the ankle gleams bright like a cat eye, while the black feline-like paws that hug the shoe’s outsole help any player prowl the playground or pavement. A black herringbone traction pattern — bisected by Yellow Ochre and outlined in white — and responsive Zoom Air cushioning in the heel and forefoot contributes to the precision these sneakers offer anytime, anywhere.
Tinker Hatfield actually designed the Air Jordan 13s with these cat-like details to hint at Jordan’s stealthy on-court “Black Cat” persona. After a career filled with the highest of highs, MJ sported the Air Jordan 13 — which rolled out in 1997 — during his last season with the NBA.
Cop a pair of the fresh-to-death “Blue Grey” Air Jordan 13 Retros this February 10th. We’ll have them at Hibbett | City Gear in men’s sizes, as well as toddler, preschool and grade school editions, perfect for any age or style of play.
