It's been a nonstop ride for Jordan Brand since Peter Moore and Bruce Kilgore first designed the Air Jordan 2. This Italy-inspired kick made big waves when it dropped in 1986, and fervor for the shoe is still going strong.
Now, the Air Jordan 2 Low "Python" is about to inject a venomous dose of style into the streets. With a mix of Cement Grey, Sanddrift, Neutral Grey, Sail and white, this kick is slated to drop on February 7 in men's sizes.
This electrifying colorway boasts a snakeskin print so fierce, it might just hypnotize you. It slithers across the side panels in a combination of Sanddrift and gray. This textured overlay catches the light, creating a dynamic play of shadows and sheen.
The rest of the upper features a crisp white leather base, offering a clean canvas for the python print to truly stand out. Grounding the design are subtle Cement Grey accents on the inner lining, tongue tabs and sole.
Crisp white laces hook into Sail eyestays. Above them is the original Air Jordan Wings logo in gray. Surrounding the entire lace box are dotted perforations in a semi-circle.
The Sail rubber midsole adds a touch of vintage aesthetic, echoing the classic Jordan heritage. Beneath your feet, a two-toned gray rubber outsole with the iconic herringbone tread pattern promises reliable traction on any surface.
This version of the Jordan 2 may be a tribute to the short-lived Nike Air Python, a shoe released in 1987 that was a combo of the Air Force II and AJ 2. It shares the same snakeskin overlay, but other than that, the kicks don't have a lot in common.
These casual sneakers easily transition to the streets. Pair them with dark wash jeans, a graphic tee and a leather jacket for a cool and casual look.
