The upper appears to be a mix of suede and textile, but one thing's for sure—it's packing the Midnight Navy. There's a suede overlay at the tongue mudguard, as well as on the heel and ankle. The forefoot and side panels look to be woven nylon.
There are touches of Football Grey throughout, including the translucent side netting and tongue. The eyestay panel is also grey, but it locks navy laces into place. The lace toggle looks like a mix of darker grey shades that match the ankle eyelet panel. Black lines the collar and tongue backing.
The shark-tooth detailing on the white midsole is navy with a sprinkling of white speckles that drive the night sky vision home. Underneath is an icy translucent outsole that follows in the footsteps of the original AJ 5 design, which featured the first clear outsole.
When designing the shoe, Tinker Hatfield threw in many branding placements, like an embroidered black Jumpman on the tongue and heel. And how could you miss the oversized Jumpman embedded into the bottom of the outsole? There's also a navy panel in the outsole reading "Jordan" to further signal that this is MJ's signature line.
While it's never been officially confirmed, Georgetown Hoyas fans commonly associate this colorway with their team since it's in their signature colors. That's why we think this former basketball shoe turned casual kick would look best with your finest fan gear — think jeans and a bulldog tee.
