Lustrous tones are definitely on trend for 2024, and the Jumpman is, as always, on top of it. We’ve already seen the warmth of Yellow Ochre on the Air Jordan 1 High OG earlier this year, and now another silhouette is buzzing with this sumptuous color scheme.
The Air Jordan 6 Retro drops January 27 in a “Yellow Ochre” colorway featuring white, Yellow Ochre and black. Find the shoes at Hibbett | City Gear in toddler, preschool, grade school and men’s size options.
Originally released in 1991, the Air Jordan 6 bring all that retro hoops-shoe goodness each time they reemerge in the sneakersphere. The “Yellow Ochre” rendition employs a heavy dose of the shoe’s titular color via a suede toebox and side panels overlaid with white leather — all of which offer generous perforations for max breathability.
The leather also connects the lacing system to the midsole for excellent forefoot lockdown. A satiny yellow overlay rests atop the white laces and houses a black embroidered Jumpman, while lace locks land just above with mirror-image branding. The sports-car spoiler-like tongue features additional Jordan branding in a tonal black.
The shoe’s heel also includes a black spoiler with a strip of Yellow Ochre and an Air Jordan symbol popping off against the white leather along the ankle. A black and white midsole gives way to the Air-Sole unit located in the heel.
The rubber outsole commingles white with translucent rubber, complete with circular and zig-zag traction patterns, rounded out by a large yellow Jumpman at the midfoot.
