Not many professional athletes can boast a signature shoe line, let alone two -- but Kyrie Irving can. Launching August 31, the ANTA KAI 1 "KAI-leidoscope" drops in men's and kids' sizes on Hibbett.com.
The first colorway to debut from the Dallas Mav's players' newest signature performance shoe line, the ANTA KAI 1 features colorblocking and technology as dynamic as the player it was created for.
The sneaker's base consists of black, grey and metallic silver interrupted by a gradient of red-to-blue coloring at the midsole and throat. At the heel, Kyrie's motto "The Journey Is the Reward" adds a personal touch to the shoe.
Technology-packed, the ANTA KAI 1 "KAI-leidoscope" is for the kaleidoscope-style basketball player. From the jump, the KAI 1 features a forefoot strap, a design carryover from previous Kyrie models. The midsole is constructed from ANTA's proprietary Half-Palm Nitrogen Technology for strong rebounds and quick starts, bolstered by lateral TPU supports for front-to-back stability.
On the men's KAI 1, a midfoot carbon plate minimizes impact and boosts acceleration. The kids' version of the performance shoe swaps the carbon material for a midfoot nylon plate instead for budding-baller-approved energy absorption and enhanced takeoffs.
An anti-slip rubber outsole featuring ANTA's wear-resistence traction pattern provides wearers with a strong grip on the hardcourt for relentless play over time.
Retailing at $125 for men's sizes and $100 for kids' sizes, the ANTA KAI 1 "KAI-leidoscope" drops online at Hibbett.com on August 31.
