The Jordan Luka 1 "Dog Dad" colorway drops in men's and kids' sizes May 2 at Hibbett | City Gear.

Each and every drop of the new Jordan Luka 1 gets more and more personal for Dallas Mavericks' star Luka Doncic. Now, the Slovenian point guard has created a colorway that'll absolutely put his opponents in the doghouse.

The AJ Luka 1 "Dog Dad" sneaker is a direct tribute to Luka's three furbabies: Viki, Hugo and Gia. This trio of two White Swiss Shepards and one Pomeranian clearly shines in the shoe's design, which is mostly white with touches of black, Bleached Coral and Sesame. Embrace the canine life with sizing for men, grade school kids, preschool kids and toddler kids dropping on May 2.

Just like Luka's fluffy beasts, this shoe is nearly all white. Embroidered Flight Wire squiggles underneath the mesh upper on the lateral side, giving you support as you slam down the court (or around the dog park). The medial side is just plain white mesh, though it does have messaging printed in black beneath the white eyestays. The left shoe reads "Jordan Brand Basketball," while the right shoe says "Non Desistas, Non Exiteris" — Latin for "never give up, never surrender."

The tongue and laces are also white, but there's more black branding. You'll see a small Jumpman at the top of the lace box, as well as Luka's infinity loop logo. A white collar transitions down to the white insole. For a touch of fun, the insoles have Viki's, Hugo's and Gia's paw prints labeled in black.

Even white dogs have pink tongues! Luka runs with this idea by having a pink insert in the lateral midsole as well as a pink heel tab. The rest of the midsole is white, but there is one more black Jumpman at the lateral heel. Also on the heel is a small gold insert that announces the Formula 23 foam cushioning inside the shoe.

The outsole here is an icy translucent tread with patches of pink and Sesame underneath. A final black Jumpman chills at the midfoot. As cute as these basketball kicks are, you'll likely want to save them for the court and skip taking them on dog walks. Black crew socks could really help that crisp white pop, as could black basketball shorts.
