The Boston Celtics have proved their power in the last half of this season by coming back from some tough losses. Not only has Jayson Tatum showcased his force on the court, but his sneaker collab with the Jumpman brand is continuing to roll out new colorways via his latest silhouette.
The Jordan Tatum 2 drops April 23 in a “Neon” colorway composed of Electric Green, white, black and Wolf Grey. The electrified basketball shoe will be available at Hibbett in men’s and grade school kids’ sizes.
A white leather and engineered mesh combo upper lays out a crisp canvas that provides a breathable fit, with all the support a player needs for quick cuts and explosive movement. A black sockliner contributes to the modern design of this Jordan sneaker.
The shoe’s feature prominently as a focal point. Grey, foam-wrapped pods blend wavy black textile and rubber, shoring up the medial and lateral panels with extra durability and abrasion resistance. But this sneaker also relies on a full-length Air Strobel unit encased in the white foam midsole to provide plush comfort and responsiveness along with impact absorption.
The eponymous neon green takes center stage, highlighting the Jumpman logos on the tongue, heel and midfoot, along with the JT logo on the tongue tag. A touch of green plastic with Jay’s No. 0 runs along the heel, giving the wearer enhanced support for lateral on-court moves.
As the lightest Jordan sneaker to date, the Tatum 2 provides everything you need for your game — and nothing you don’t. A Phylon foam frame offers stability without sacrificing flexibility, and the upper relies on those lighter-weight materials as well. The tricolor outsole includes strategically placed pods with a topographic-like traction pattern.
