Nike Dunk Hi SE & Air Force 1 '07 "Chrome" Launching 05/05 Colorway: WHITE/SILVER Style: Women's Shoe

Release Date: May 05, 2023

May 18, 2023

The Nike Dunk Hi SE & Air Force 1 '07 "Chrome" dropped May 5 at Hibbett | City Gear and we've got pairs up for grabs!

Nike must be in a futuristic mood because it is absolutely channeling modern metals in its latest releases.

Both the Nike Air Force 1 and Nike Dunk High are seeing chrome colorways that'll launch them into space. Both come in a white, Metallic Silver and black palette that keeps things neutral so the chrome can shine. Grab both pairs in women's sizes starting May 5.

Bruce Kilgore probably couldn't imagine how sleek his original Air Force 1 design would look draped in these colors. The white leather upper is familiar enough, keeping things crisp and clean. However, the silver midsole with "Air" printed in white on the lateral heel is a touch out of a space novella.

The white Swoosh in the middle gives off a very monochromatic look, as do the white laces and tongue. This is broken up, however, by the chrome vamp overlay at the top of the lace box. The Nike Air tongue branding is also chrome on a black background. There's a final touch of chrome Nike Air branding at the heel, along with an icy outsole that completes the look.

The Dunk High—a shoe originally inspired by the Air Force 1 when it dropped in 1985—bares striking similarities even now. Again, there's an all-white leather base with several key chrome accents. The side panels and heel both shine in the light, making this shoe even more impressive with every step you take. A typical white Swoosh is set in the middle of each side panel, making the chrome stand out even more.

Black laces and a black tongue are a nice contrast to the rest of the shoe. Chrome Nike branding on the tongue also stands out, as do the two silver grommets at the top of the vamp. This shoe is also mated to a silver midsole on top of an icy blue outsole.

Though these two basketball shoes originally dropped in the '80s, they look positively modern-day thanks to their upgrades. With that in mind, style them with tapered black joggers or leggings and a cropped metallic silver jacket. You'll look like a cross between a stylish spacewoman and a fierce on-court baller.

Chrome is the future, the future is female… so female is chrome? Embrace the chrome life with the Nike Air Force 1 and Nike Dunk High chrome colorways, both available exclusively in women's sizes on May 5, online and at your local Hibbett | City Gear. If you were too late to score them, make sure you follow our sneaker launch calendar so you never miss another release.
