The Nike KD 17 basketball shoes take a softer approach with Pink Foam and Beyond Pink tones that suggest a cozy robe or snuggly sweater. The sculpted upper features the lighter pink, which matches the midsole. Complementary Beyond Pink Swooshes rest along the quarter panels, with holographic logos on the tongue.
A light rose-patterned embroidery also dresses the tongue and wraps the ankle for a delicate touch, and accents of darker pink pearl embroidery appear at the heel, with “AP” and “KD” logos. The insoles feature a Kay Yow/Aunt Pearl logo to highlight the connection between Durant’s beloved family member and the nonprofit. The rubber outsole features a topographic-map-like pattern with contoured ridges that offer reliable traction.
A plastic support piece embedded in the forefoot area offers a swatch of the darker pink featuring “AP” and “KD” lettering, and the forefoot Air Zoom unit combined with springy foam provides any wearer the ability to deliver on-court velocity.
