Nike KD18 "Liquid Lime" Launching 04/18 Colorway: CLEAR JADE/BLACK/LIQUID LIME Style: Men's Basketball Shoes

Release Date: April 18, 2025

Kevin Durant and Nike just keep cooking. From his early days in Seattle to signing a lifetime deal with the Swoosh, KD’s been dropping heaters for nearly two decades. Now, his 18th signature sneaker is here, and it's bringing serious ‘90s trail-runner energy with it.

Meet the Nike KD 18 “Liquid Lime”, a wild fusion of old-school ACG vibes and next-gen performance tech, dropping April 18 in men’s sizes. It uses a head-turning mix of Clear Jade, Liquid Lime and Black that feels like a spiritual successor to the legendary Weatherman KD 4. Bold, bright and built for bucket-getters.

We haven’t seen KD wear this particular colorway on the court yet like we have with the “El Valle” and “Air Bakin'” styles, but that just makes this release even more anticipated.

The Nike KD 18 pulls inspiration straight from the Air Terra Humara, a cult-classic Nike trail shoe that had sneakerheads in KD’s hometown of DC obsessed. While you likely won’t want to hit the mountain with these basketball shoes, you can still use their rugged grip to dominate the hardwood.

The influence is clear. Check the linear cage wrapping the upper and the Liquid Lime open-holed mesh borrowed from the Vomero 5, keeping things breathable and comfy. On this kick, the suede cage fades from Clear Jade at the eyestays to a more muted purple at the midsole.

Liquid Lime canvas on the heel and collar adds some durability, while the TPU midfoot overlay doubles as the lace loops, giving this pair its unique locked-in feel. And yeah, that black TPU Swoosh outlined in neon orange on the collar? Subtle flex.

There’s also a Liquid Lime tongue paired with a neon orange KD logo and laces. It’s a completely ‘90s color scheme that feels like you’re stepping back in time. A black midsole with orange speckling keeps things from going totally overboard, as do the black accents at the ankle.

Nike didn’t skimp on the performance side, either. You’ll zig and zag around the court like the Slim Reaper himself with the forefoot Zoom Air unit. Meanwhile, the Dot Weld heel Strobel and Cushlon foam keep your landings soft. The neon orange outsole is both flashy and grippy for full-court dominance.

Nike Air in the heel brings extra impact protection, because KD knows what a long season feels like. Whether you’re hooping or just rocking these with a fit, they’ll keep you moving smoothly.

With his deadly scoring touch on the court, Durant is one of the best ballers in the league. If you want to be on his level, you’ve got to don his kicks. The Nike KD 18 “Liquid Lime” drops on April 18 in men’s sizes online and at your local Hibbett and City Gear stores. Drive to the hoop like the Phoenix Suns' power forward when you snag a pair.

Miss out on release day? Check the sneaker launch calendar to stay ahead of the game for the next KD 18 drop. Because when these kicks release, they won’t stick around.
