Nike Kobe 9 Low Protro “Halo” Colorway: White/White Style: Men's Basketball Shoe

While he may no longer be earthside, Kobe Bryant’s presence and spirit still lingers. And the launch of the latest sneaker celebrates the rebirth of Nike Basketball’s Kobe portfolio. 

The Nike Kobe 9 Low Protro is light and low cut, minimalist without being fussy and built with style and performance front of mind. And the tonal white “Halo” colorway perfectly embodies Bryant’s legacy.

The low cut iteration of this sneaker was seen on China basketball player Sijing Huang earlier this summer, and the shoe has been hyped for some time. 

“Protro” refers to the performance and retro aesthetic of the shoes, giving players both the technical details they need along with major style points in the process. The first Protro model, the Nike Kobe 1, officially launched in early 2018. 

The Nike Kobe 9 Low Protro legacy shoes nod to Bryant’s elite career with an all-white, lightweight Flyknit upper and a full-length Zoom Air unit that keeps the foot supported and poised for any on-court move. Drop-in Nike React cushioning buoys the shoe’s responsiveness. 

While other details for this lower cut iteration remain undisclosed, the shoe gets a tonal white embroidered Swoosh and a larger midsole unit that stabilizes the back of the foot.
