While superstar Donovan Mitchell was originally drafted by the Denver Nuggets, he was quickly traded on draft night to the Utah Jazz. Since then, the two-time All-Star has led his team in scoring and helped them make it to the playoffs every season.

Being a member of the Jazz has played a huge role in his career, which is perhaps why he’s dropping a new colorway of the adidas D.O.N. Issue 3 in his team’s colors. The new “Utah Jazz” colorway shines in white, navy, green and gold, and it’s hitting stores in men’s sizes on October 15 — just in time for the start of the 2021-2022 NBA season.

The textile upper is mostly white, including the squiggly lace guard and patch at the forefoot. You’ll find zig-zag golden embroidery along each side of the lace guard, as well as a golden ankle grommet. This culminates in a golden Spida emblem on the tongue on a navy patch.

Navy ankle padding transitions nicely to the heel, which also has a patch of navy as well as a navy and yellow striped tab. The heel emblem reads “301 S-TEMPLE SLT LK/CITY 84101 UT,” which is the address of Vivint Arena where the Jazz play their home games.

While the upper half of this shoe is mostly business, the real party begins in the midsole. It’s filled with speckled green and navy splotches on a white base, almost like confetti falling from the sky. On the lateral side, this is overlaid with a deep navy TPU squiggle from the forefoot to heel.

You’ll also spot the traditional Three Stripes on the side of the heel in green. Underfoot, the white and translucent outsole offers spiderweb traction patterns for pure grip on the court.
