Trae Young may have only been in the NBA for three seasons, but he’s already made a huge impact. As a point guard with the Atlanta Hawks, he’s led his team in points per game for the last two years.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that adidas is tapping him for his own signature shoe line. Ice Trae debuted the adidas Trae Young 1 during the first round of the 2021 NBA playoffs as a teaser, and it’s finally hitting stores soon. Dubbed the adidas Trae Young 1 “ICEE” men’s basketball shoe, the cool blue colorway was inspired by the ICEE drink and looks to put a hearty dose of chill in your step starting October 1.

If you’ve caught the “Ice Trae” colorways of the Top Ten and N3XT L3V3L, you probably have a good idea of what to expect when it comes to the color palette. The mesh upper stuns in a two-tone zigzag pattern. A darker blue starts at the toe and alternates with a light blue to the heel. The white laces are covered by a felt-like light blue lace guard. You’ll see bright red eyelet accents, which also have a cute bear claw border underneath. To drive home the fact that this is an adidas shoe, there are the Three Stripes in bright red on the squiggly white midsole. You’ll see the same Three Stripes detailing on the forefoot of the iced outsole.

The rest of the shoe is just as fun with its tell-tale flourishes. For example, there’s a red number “11” on the insole with snow caps. And who could miss the red and white polar bear at the heel? The heel also includes a tab reading “adidas Basketball Rayford Trae Young Signature Series.”
