Desert camo came to prominence during Operation Desert Storm five years before the AJ 10’s release. Now the mixture of sandy browns and earthy yellows gives the basketball sneaker a unique look without losing any of its style or substance.
Featuring a blend of buttery tumbled leather and an innovative quick-lace system, the Jordan 10’s marquee feature rests on the outsole, where MJ’s milestones from 1985 to 1994 are on display. The Jordan 10 was actually the first design where His Airness took a hands-off approach toward developing, though he did wear them — albeit for a brief time — during his return to basketball.
The sneakers feature a full-grain leather upper and overlays for durability, comfort and support. The Phylon midsole with full-length Air-Sole unit provides wearers with lightweight cushioning, while the Dynamic Fit sleeve enhances comfort.
MJ suddenly retired from basketball before Jordan 9 dropped to take up playing baseball, but that didn’t stop his signature shoe line from chugging right along. The lightweight Air Jordan 10 hit the scene and paid tribute to Jordan by displaying his accomplishments on the sole. Players from all over the NBA wore the shoes, from New York to L.A.
However, Jordan’s couldn’t stay away from the game. Wearing the four-five, he made a triumphant return to the Bulls in 1995 and helped guide his team into the postseason.
