There’s a joke among Oklahoma City Thunder beat reporters that there are two Russell Westbrooks: the hyper-focused, intense player in basketball sneakers; and the post-game charming and chatty Westbrook.
No matter your junior dibbler’s on- or off-the-court persona, get him a pair of black, Bright Crimson, Cement Grey and white Air Jordan Why Not Zer0.3 basketball shoes on April 23 in preschool and grade school kids’ sizes.
This audacious colorway takes its cues from the iconic colorway of the Air Jordan 3. Cement Grey elephant print overlays play out in zigzag fashion along the heel. The toe box sees some of the detailing as well- punctuating the black mesh upper.
Other disruptors of the mostly black upper come from strategically placed Bright Crimson stitching and a clear, adjustable TPU strap at the midfoot. Crimson stitching also outlines the sockliner and tongue, which both feature a breathable grey mesh for total comfort.
Designer David Cin gave the Air Jordan Why Not Zer0.3 its edge with details like jagged lines at the midsole, exposed underlayers, an upper blend of tightly woven and loose mesh, and an external size tag located on the sneaker’s underside.
While visible features make this a striking sneaker on the outside, the shoe also comes packed with action-enhancing technology. A large Air Zoom Turbo unit at the shoe’s front follows the natural curve of the foot for responsive cushioning.
The basketball sneaker’s rubber outsole gets split into two discrete pieces for lightweight traction and flexibility. A rigid, molded plastic piece sits between the two parts to lend stability and structure.
This April 23, suit up with the latest in the Westbrook lineup. Visit Hibbett | City Gear for the “Black Cement/Bright Crimson” Air Jordan Why Not Zer0.3 sneakers in pre-K and grade school kids’ sneakers.
