The Converse All Star BB Shift “Black/Multi-Color” men’s basketball shoe drops February 28 at Hibbett | City Gear, and the “White/Multi-Color” men’s basketball shoe drops March 1.

Though we don’t think of Converse as a basketball brand today, it used to be one of the most popular styles on the court. Converse is trying to restore that reputation. It released the All Star BB Pro back in 2019, then the All Star BB Evo in 2020. Two colorways are launching: a rainbow and white option and a black, pink and white option.

The rainbow option does its best to use a mix of practically every color. The white upper has patches of color throughout, with each shoe having its layout. The left shoe has yellow and green on the lateral midsole and blue and green on the medial midsole. The right shoe, on the other hand, has an orange and purple lateral midsole along with a blue and purple medial midsole.

The left shoe also comes with a purple tongue with orange backing, a blue insole, orange and yellow heel and a blue Converse star along the middle. Flip those colors around for the right shoe, which has a green tongue with blue backing, yellow insole, black and purple heel and orange Converse star.

There are some similarities with each shoe. They both have a white sole, white laces and striped heel tab. But otherwise? It’s an explosion of color. The black and pink option is slightly more subdued. It features a striped upper with pink, blue, orange and black detailing. You’ll notice a light pink Converse star on a black overlay across the middle. There are also black leather overlays at the heel, which have a bright pink heel strap.

The black leather tongue features prominent star chevron branding, and hot pink backing meshes well with the pink insole. Underfoot, a crisp white sole keeps everything unified.

Considering the boldness of both of these shoes, it should be no surprise that they were inspired by the original Chuck Taylor All Star. Now you can enjoy the fun vibe of the OG shoe while still getting the modern support you need for your game. Throw these on with your favorite basketball gear so you can defeat your opponents with ease.

The new Converse All Star BB Shift is poised to make quite the stir in the NBA, with several players already testing them out over the Christmas season. Give them a try for yourself starting February 28 with the “Black/Multi-Color” men’s shoe and March 1 with the “White/Multi-Color” men’s shoe.
