The Curry Flow 9 “White/Multicolor” men’s and grade school kids’ shoe drops July 8 at Hibbett | City Gear.

Steph Curry has had a busy summer so far, racking up his fourth NBA Championship with the Golden State Warriors. Now, the 2022 NBA Finals MVP is about to add another trophy to his footwear lineup.

The Under Armour Curry 9 “For the W” comes in a mix of baby blue, purple and pink. Perhaps this colorway is a nod to his two daughters as a way to make them feel like they belong with him on the court. This pastel-themed shoe designed by Tom Luedecke will be available in men’s and grade school kids’ sizes starting July 8.

A light blue fabric upper coats the heel and ankle of this shoe, along with pink embroidered lines at the back edge. But it’s the midfoot and toe that really shine here. They’re covered in UA WARP mesh that features scattered lines of dark pink, light purple, light blue and white. These are the same speckled dots you’ll see on the white midsole along the toe and forefoot.

Aside from the Easter egg nest of colors on the toe, the rest of the shoe is relatively tame. Purple laces with white accents are held in place with pink eyelets along with a holographic eyestay that encircles the tongue. The tongue itself features the same light blue as the upper, but in a diamond print. At the top of the tongue, a white tab features Curry branding in dark pink.


There are other touches of branding throughout, including Curry’s symbol embroidered on white below the ankle. A small purple tab on the outer heel features additional white branding. A bright white UA Flow outsole provides a retro geometric pattern that makes it feel like you’re entering another dimension. Under that, you’ll see one more light purple patch with the Under Armour logo in white.


All in all, this shoe is the perfect thing to wear to your Easter Sunday pickup game. But since that season has passed, it’ll look just as good during your summer sessions. Pair it with black basketball shorts to keep things muted, or go big and bold with matching purple shorts. The deep pink in the mesh could also be a great color to coordinate your shirt with.
