These shoes come in a fresh Game Royal and white colorway, accented by hints of Total Orange appearing on the insole, much like the “Kentucky” Dunk colorway that released last year.
Dubbed the “Game Royal” Nike Dunk High Retro, this classic Nike high top launches on June 11 in grade school boys’ and men’s sizes.
It’s the year of the Dunk, so we recommend you don’t sleep on these sneaks! Why? They’re classic, they resemble the Air Jordan 1, and they’re constructed with quality materials and time-tested tech. Originally conceived of as a sneaker to market to NCAA fans and athletes in 1985, the Peter Moore-designed Dunks have transcended collegiate court culture over the decades.
The “Game Royal” edition follows the classic two-toned aesthetic of the Nike Dunk High, with a crisp white leather upper outlined in the titular blue hue. Game Royal laces, a plush blue sockliner, insole and a slightly lighter Nike Air branding on the nylon tongue tag all set a seamless tone for these court-ready kicks.
The shoe’s Game Royal outsole includes a classic concentric circular pattern and pivot point at the forefoot and flex grooves along the heel for great grip on any surface. A white foam midsole, high cut collar and perforations along the toe box contribute to the shoe’s breathability, stability and fit.
