This March 5, sneakerheads and athletes alike can score major points and break records in a pair of the newly released Air Jordan 2 Retro available in women’s sizes. This multicolor women’s basketball shoe features an eye-catching University Red, black and Court Purple color-blocked style.
Designed by Nike’s Bruce Kilgore, the original Jordan 2 helped set the groundwork for a prosperous footwear dynasty. This exclusive women’s AJ 2 Retro release honors that dynasty and Jordan‘s tradition with its synchronous blend of style, comfort and performance.
Style is packed in the Jordan 2 with asymmetrical color-blocking giving the left shoe a University Red, Court Purple and yellow combo, while the right foot comes swathed in orange, blue and green. The shoe’s upper comprises both smooth and tumbled leathers, along with textile overlays. These materials prove surprisingly resilient on the court or around town, offering the stability you’ve come to expect from the brand and just the right amount of breathability.
Noticeably missing from this color-blocking approach to a classic is the trademark swooshes like other Air Jordan 2 retro before. Instead, branding hits play out on the insole, tongue, heel and rubber outsole. All-day cushioning comes in the form of the sneaker’s full-length Air-Sole unit, while the rubber outsole provides multi-surface traction.
