The Jordan brand unveiled its Air Jordan 5 Retro “Green Bean” colorway in 2006. Now, in 2022, the palette gets its retro release — a silver and Flint Grey-based sneaker with impactful Green Bean accents.

The shoe will launch at Hibbett | City Gear beginning May 28 in toddler, preschool, grade school and men’s sizes. These Air Jordan sneakers are all flash, with the right blend of retro styles and the durability to boot.

These suave sneakers come dressed in a silvery, 3M-reflective material for a smooth surface. TPU netting along the quarter panels jazzes up the texture of the shoe, while the midsole and eyestays receive a Flint Grey treatment.

The shoe’s titular color comes into play both at the jagged pattern along the sides, on the branding and along the inner lining. Icy translucent pieces reinforce the outsole’s forefoot and heel, and the signature Air-Sole gets sandwiched into the midsole for springy action.

Light silver laces add a sophisticated touch to the Air Jordan 5 Retros, perhaps suggestive of the light-catching reflective material of the shoe’s upper. These shoes are a faithful replica of the 2006 OGs. Where they depart, however, is the special-edition packaging that comes with the 2022 rendition — a silver box with the Green Bean Jumpman.
