In search of the perfect summertime sneaker? Look no further than the latest colorway from the Jumpman. Grab the Air Jordan 6 Retro beginning June 4 in a “Red Oreo” rendition — a solid riff on the ever-popular “Oreo” colorway. This new sneaker incorporates fan-favorite tones like white, University Red and black.
Durability and style intersect in the Tinker Hatfield-designed sneakers. The “Red Oreo” AJ 6 Retro begins with a creamy white leather base — the icing sandwiched between the metaphorical cookies — with delicious, velvety red accents. Speckled red adorns the lace locks, the midsole and heel spoiler, with solid University Red Jumpman on the tongue, insole and outsole.
A white, stitched-on Air Jordan insignia appears at the heel, and black accents zig and zag between the icy translucent rubber outsole, creating a powerful, cartoon-esque effect.
This solid addition to the summer 2022 Jordan lineup includes all the signature details of a classic AJ 6 Retro. Ventilation holes pepper the smooth sides of the shoe, with generous padding at the ankle. Tumbled leather overlays help stabilize the foot, contributing to the textural elements of the sneaker, and white laces along with the oversized tongue imbue a crispness to the package, while the Air-Sole window remains a fixture in the heel.
