It’s natural for basketball fans of all ages to aspire to look fresh and feel good in a pair of kicks from a favorite athlete. Houston Rockets’ point guard Russell Westbrook’s third and latest twist in his signature series adds another clean but comfortable look to the arsenal.
The Jordan Why Not? Zer0.3 SE drops on July 15 in an off-white, Sail, black, Spruce Aura and Flash Crimson colorway in men’s and kids’ sizes.
Working with Nike designer David Cin, Westbrook succeeds in making this sneaker a blockbuster of flashy styling and pure court performance. Boasting a disruptive design similar to the previously released iteration — but with upgraded performance — these new kicks channel the Jordan Brand soul and Westbrook’s specific performance needs and style.
The new SE silhouette offers outstanding breathability due to its full-mesh build. This release features elements of the original shoe, including the dual-layered synthetic overlays trimmed with exposed stitching and the herringbone-patterned sole unit. A creamy white palette now dominates the upper on the men’s shoe with hits of black, purple and Crimson Red throughout, complemented by the zigzagged midsole in vibrant red. An extra pull-tab on the tongue and a heel pull stitched at a slight angle make for easy on and off.
Multiple RW signature touches, as well as Jumpman and Zero SE logos, appear across the kicks. An RW banner logo sits just below the lateral collar. And don’t miss the size tag, placed on the sole instead of the sneaker’s interior.
Westbrook’s signature basketball sneakers are known for their comfort and stability, thanks to a large Air Zoom Turbo unit that follows the foot’s natural curvature. The molded plastic that bisects the two-piece soft rubber outsole shaves weight and adds support. A cantilevered heel injected with Phylon teams up with the multidirectional tread to supply dynamic cushioning, flexibility and traction.
The Jordan Why Not Zer0.3 SE shoes are available July 15 online or in-stores at Hibbett | City Gear.
