Sneakers Release – Jordan XXXVI “Bred” Black/Infrared 23 Men’s Basketball Shoe Dropping 3/31

Mar 25, 2022

The Air Jordan 36 “Bred” colorway will be available in men’s and grade school kids’ sizes starting March 31.

While the Air Jordan 36 has featured some classic colorways, it was still missing an iconic “Bred” colorway of its own before this latest release from Jordan.

Any true sneakerhead will know what we’re talking about. The “Bred” colorway was the infamous red and black scheme the GOAT wore at times during his rookie basketball season. Since then, the simple red and black combo has appeared on nearly every AJ shoe at some point. So it only makes sense that it’s time to drop in the AJ 36 as well.

This shoe features a mostly black jacquard leno-weave that is lightweight and breathable, making it easy to zoom around the court. A black and red striped foam ribbon runs across the midsole for reinforcement. This design also resembles an infinity symbol—you can trace it around the shoe and never pick up your finger. You’ll see that same infinity symbol motif in red on the outer ankle, as well. Along the black-on-black laces and tongue is an oversized tongue tab featuring a classic red Jumpman logo. There’s also red detailing on the black heel tab, with a cursive scrawl reading “Thirtysix.”

Keeping this shoe light doesn’t mean designers sacrificed cushioning. This shoe has the most Zoom Air cushioning of any Jordan Brand shoe, with a full-length Zoom Air Strobel unit along with a Zoom Airbag in the forefoot. You’ll also enjoy the milky white translucent outsole with traction patterns and a red Jumpman.

Originally, the “Bred” colorway was a nod to His Airness’s Chicago Bulls team colors. Now, it’s an iconic color combo that looks amazing whether you’re slinging baskets on the side or chilling with friends courtside. Just imagine pairing it with some black joggers and a red T-shirt.

For any true Jordan fan, the “Bred” retro colorway is always a must-have, as it’s where the legend all started. You can grab your AJ 36 “Bred” shoes starting March 31. They’ll drop in men’s and grade school kids’ sizes online and at your local Hibbett | City Gear.
