Sneakers Release – Lebron 18 “Black/White/University Red” Men’s and Kids’ Basketball Shoe

Dec 1, 2020

Why deck the halls and trim the tree in red and green when you can go black, white and University Red? The Nike LeBron 18 lands in a “Bred” colorway beginning December 4 – just in time for Santa and his reindeer to swoop in and leave these sneakers under the tree.

Force, speed and power come together in a lineup of thoughtfully scrawled equations to create the latest LeBron shoe. This December 4, the LeBron 18 “Bred” will drop in grade school boys’ and men’s sizes.

When designing the LeBron 18, Nike’s Jason Petrie followed the natural evolution of the sneaker line. He took elements of previous models and rolled them into a shoe that showcases LeBron’s on-court persona.

The all-black upper features a Knitposite and Battleknit combination. The all-new Knitposite 2.0 is a more breathable, lightweight material with stability and durability. A cable system anchored at the midsole keeps the foot snugly in place, tightened by black laces in a white lattice pattern.

This LeBron shoe lets the design speak for itself rather than boldly showcasing the Swoosh. (White Swooshes, however, do appear on the toe and along the shoe’s sides.) The LeBron 18’s black heel clip adds to the basketball sneaker’s stability, while red heel tabs make for easy on and off.

Perhaps the most prominent feature of this “Bred” model: the shoe’s pressurized Air pockets that bubble up between the lacing system. LeBron’s signature in University Red is visible in the bottom pocket, mirroring the visible Max Air unit in the shoe’s heel.

That Max Air works with a full-length Zoom Air unit to give players the force and power they require to make it to the basket and back. The outsole helps achieve that goal, too, offering a white diamond generative traction pattern studded with blacks and reds and made for aggressive stops and starts.

When you’re making your holiday wish list, make sure you put the Nike LeBron 18 “Bred” sneakers at the top. Beginning December 4, you (or Santa and his elves) can pick up a pair of the LeBron 18s in men’s and grade school boys’ sizes at Hibbett | City Gear.
