Jaden Smith has a lot going for him. He’s a successful rapper, actor and songwriter—not to mention the son of Will Smith. And with the release of his New Balance Vision Racer shoe last year, he’s taken a foray into streetwear fashion.

Now, Smith is celebrating summer 2021 in style with two new colorways of his signature kicks. The New Balance x Jaden Smith Vision Racer “Trippy Summer” shoes feature bold, multicolored styles inspired by the beauty of sunsets, rainbows and flowers. The White & Blue and White, Orange and Green colorways drop in men’s and unisex sizes on July 30.

Flower power is evident in the first colorway, which features a mostly cream mesh upper. The color starts to pop in the midfoot, with a strip of orange running around the perimeter of the shoe. Then, you’ll notice patches of purple at the toe, green on the exterior forefoot, red on the interior forefoot, yellow on the exterior heel and blue on the interior heel. The groovy colors will have you feeling like you were transported back to 1970—a vibe continued by the chevron pattern on the laces.

The second colorway keeps things cool with a white and cream base. This time, the color is in the large midsole. It starts with a warm red at the heel, then fades into a lighter aqua at the middle before transitioning to a bright blue at the toe. The whole look gives off lava lamp vibes, especially when you flip the shoe over and see the translucent blue outsole with the colorful Vision Racer logo imprinted underneath.

Despite being radically different, these shoes do have a few things in common. Both have the trademark “N” logo on the middle, as well as red Vision Racer branding on the tongue tab. There’s also rainbow New Balance branding on the heel in a groovy font.

Wondering how to wear these laid-back kicks? If you don’t have any tie-dye, you might want to take a note from Smith. In promo photos, he has on a set of casual joggers paired with a matching New Balance hoodie. Keeping it simple lets the shoes speak for themselves.
