Sneakers Release – New Balance x Jolly Rancher Men’s and Kids’ Collection

In the classic 1971 film “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,” Willy Wonka pushes open a small door to reveal a world of “pure imagination,” brimming with saccharine delights, lollipop trees and a velvety chocolate river. While lickable fruit wallpaper and edible teacups aren’t on the menu, New Balance is serving up a delectable confection of a shoe (or four) for Halloween.

Beginning October 31, Kawhi Leonard’s NB signature shoe and some of New Balance’s most popular models drop two Jolly Rancher colorways — “Assorted Flavors” and “Blue Raspberry” — bursting with bright tones and all the sweet technological advances one can imagine. The collection, which includes the New Balance Kawhi 1, New Balance 200 slide and the New Balance 327, will be available in grade school boys’ and men’s sizes.

L.A. Clippers star Kawhi Leonard teamed up with New Balance for the Jolly Rancher collection, as a tribute to Leonard’s favorite Halloween treat — those brightly colored, sugary morsels that slowly melt away on the tongue.

Watermelon, grape, blue raspberry, cherry and green apple all come together in the cartoonish fruit pattern of the New Balance 200 sandals. In addition to the colorfully animated fruit exterior, the plush, contoured cushioning interior is just as sweet.

The New Balance 327 is swathed in a blue raspberry nylon and suede material, complete with stitched-on “N” branding. A studded green apple-colored outsole rounds out this fresh, streamlined shoe.

The New Balance Kawhi 1 men’s and kids’ shoe features white mesh with multicolored flavor patterns incorporated throughout. The tongue and sockliner have the same yellow tone as the crinkly ends of the Jolly Rancher wrapper, and the cartoon fruit logo plays along the tongue.
