Sneakers Release- New Nike Air Max Viva Drops 3/11

As part of Nike’s annual “Month of Air” Air Max celebration, observed throughout the month of March, the brand is launching a new women’s-exclusive sneaker that centers around a can-do design and a carefree attitude. The rugged yet feminine women’s Nike Air Max Viva debuts on March 11 in a dusty Plum and black colorway.

At first glance, the Air Max Viva resembles a modern trail shoe with its 2-toned, bungee cord-like dual lacing system and mixed materials upper. Below the surface though, this new women’s sneaker has been crafted to support the needs of women on the go, featuring a thick, charcoal and black speckled Cushlon foam midsole and an oversized black Max Air unit. This framed-out Air unit harkens back the Air Max line’s original design and brings to mind similar silhouettes like the Air Max 1 and 3, AM 90, Air Verona and last year’s Air Max 2090.

The AM Viva’s muted Plum-colored upper comes predominantly in luxe nubuck with curving stitches and ventilated holes along the shoe’s sides. A Plum leather camouflage overlay runs along the shoe’s sides, serving as a pop of texture and a foot stabilizer while the sculpted, padded collar gently encircles the ankle for low-impact stability.

A black closed-mesh throat, black sockliner and black heel tab play nicely off the shoe’s foundation, while two separate tech-cord laces — one in a lovely shade of lilac, the other in a mustard tone — complement the shoe’s styling with its asymmetry. Crimson-colored Swooshes adorn the shoe’s toe.

The partial rubber outsole, offered in camo-esque two-tone pattern, provides multi-surface grip perfect for slick city sidewalks and dusty, dry trail hikes. Modern branding incorporated into the shoe’s sides and the heel gives this sneaker the versatility to pair with any outfit — business, casual, athleisure or utilitarian.
