The Air Max 720’s Air unit runs the length of the outsole and is the tallest to date, at 38 millimeters high, which offers the wearer plenty of bounce, cushioning and comfort.

Nike created the revolutionary shoe around the idea of the 360-degree visibility of the 720’s Air unit. The 720’s colorways take inspiration from the natural world, balancing out the shoe’s futuristic vibe. In addition to the Max Air unit, the shoe gets some of its stability and structure from mesh pods located on the shoe’s medial and lateral sides. The upper’s molded lines, which extend out from those pods, create a wavelike design. Durable traction comes from the rubber waffle-inspired outsole.
