Back in its original form, just in time for the shoe’s 30th anniversary, the new Nike Air Max 90 is set to take center stage January 9. Meet the newest rendition of a fan favorite in a sleek chic white, Particle Grey, and Hyper Grape colorway for women.

Tapped in 1987, Nike asked designer Tinker Hatfield to bring some of his creative magic, previously seen in Hatfield-designed Air Jordan models, to Nike’s up-and-coming Air Max line.

Hatfield designed the OG Air Max 90 to highlight the sneaker’s enhanced Airbag with a bold infrared window, effectively making the sneaker stand out. The “Hyper Grape” release plays off the classic 1990 Nike sneaker, a shoe built for performance.

Whether you are walking to work, spinning at the gym or capturing your OOTD for your followers, the shoe’s prominent Max Air unit provides all the underfoot cushioning you need to get you through the day with ease.

Seamlessly blending leather and synthetic materials with stitched overlays, the Nike Air Max 90’s TPU accents give you a premium and durable throwback aesthetic while padding and soft foam cushioning adorn the low top ankle for additional comfort.

The signature rubber waffle outsole pattern incorporates flex grooves that move with the foot as you run or walk, bolstered by a Max Air and foam-cushioned midsole.

This release also launches alongside the Nike Air Max 90 LTR “Volt” colorway in men’s, grade school kids’, preschool kids’, toddler and infant sizes.

Also dropping in stores and online on January 9, this sneaker features a white mesh upper with Particle Grey leather or suede overlays and mudguards (depending on the size) and Volt green accents around the Max Air unit window, laces and heel.
