It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, and Nike is here to help usher you into the future by offering a forward-facing sneaker crafted with sustainability in mind. Meet the Nike VaporMax 2021 Flyknit, a thoughtfully crafted modern shoe that furthers Nike’s “Move to Zero” initiative, the brand’s campaign to move toward a more sustainable zero-carbon, zero-waste future.

The Nike VaporMax 2021 Flyknit will launch on June 24 in an Armory Blue, white and Smoke Grey palette for grade school boys and men as part of a larger 8-colorway pack of VaporMax 2021 Flyknit sneakers.

This tonal sneaker takes on a serene, muted blue, buoyed by its icy-clear VaporMax foundation. The Flyknit upper comes dressed in a heathered Armory Blue and begins with a tightly woven pattern at the toe box, which loosens along the sides of the shoe. The resulting weave ensures both visual appeal and maximum breathability for this lifestyle sneaker.

Smoke Grey embroidery outlines white Swooshes, mimicking the grey accents of the laces, eyestays, tongue tag and sockliner. Darker, marbleized TPU toe caps and oversized heel clips lend durability and stability to the sneaker package.

The low-cut entry provides a sock-like fit thanks to an elasticized band that comfortably cuffs the ankle. Webbed eye stays add a modern look to a traditional lacing system. Originally designed to enhance running shoes, the transparent-blue VaporMax layer offers max Air underfoot, from toe to heel. This particular piece of cushioning is also the first one-piece Air unit to span an entire shoe, for smoother transitions and lighter-than-Air cushioning.

Each design element and feature in some way utilizes recycled materials — from the post-industrial recycled yarn woven into the Flyknit fabric to the recycled materials integrated into the Air unit, outsole and TPU heel clip. Nike Grind recycled rubber chips snake through the outsole pattern for extra areas of traction where you need it.
