Michael Jordan may have retired for the third time nearly two decades ago, but that doesn’t mean he can’t influence young guns on the court like Kyrie Irving. The Brooklyn Nets sensation and Nike are set to release the Nike Kyrie 6 on January 16 in the iconic “Bred” black and University Red colorway. Available in men’s, grade school kids’, preschool kids’ and toddler kids’ sizes.

The “Bred” colorway remains exciting to fans whether the colors are on an Air Jordan or a future classic. The new Kyrie 6 black and University Red shoe pays homage to MJ while delivering an exceptional underfoot feel for today’s basketball players.

Style and substance blend seamlessly in the Kyrie 6 “Bred.” The shoe gets an upgrade with its always-striking heel counter – a fiery red palette featuring Irving’s signature logo, the all-seeing eye. The sneaker further integrates the University Red hue with a flame-like design. Red stitching at the laces embellish the shoe’s black upper and lacing system.

With its varying leather, synthetic and textile textures, the black upper expertly counterbalances the reds and whites of the shoe. The oversized Swoosh on the shoe’s side is black, as well, along with the shoe’s TPU strap.

“Bred” black and University Red Kyrie 6 basketball sneakers perpetuate the collection’s use of the midfoot lockdown strap, which is completed by its textural all-seeing eye. This feature keeps your foot stable on the court, in the gym or on the playground.

The Air Zoom Turbo unit curves beneath the ball of your foot, allowing for incredible responsiveness. White, University Red and light grey rubber outsoles run up the shoe’s sidewall.
