The primarily black suede upper features several overlays that add a touch of fun. For example, blue and orange eyestays connect to a white zigzag TPU shape that cuts across the shoe in a wave.

There’s also a triangular white overlay that cuts around the heel on both sides. On the lateral side, you’ll see “Reebok” stitched in black and “The Pump” stitched in lighter blue. The heel has “Hexalite” stitched in black on top of orange and blue hexagons.

Let’s get to the even cooler stuff—the Pump mechanism. This nifty feature allows you to inflate a small bladder within the shoe and customize the fit to your liking. The blue basketball-shaped button on the black tongue labeled “The Pump” gives you instant access to a perfect fit.

What looks like black corduroy lines the back of the tongue and the ankle padding and should add to the comfort. The chunky white EVA midsole adds some nice height to this high top. Under that, the outsole is also primarily white, with blue and orange tread patterns at the heel and forefoot. There’s also a Hexalite cutout at the heel.

While these might not make the best basketball shoes these days, you can still play up the rec center look of your past. Try them on with your favorite black basketball shorts and a white T-shirt—but be ready to shed your shirt in case you’re picked for team skins.
