The Reebok Pump Omni Zone II “White/Red/Black” men’s basketball shoe drops 12/31 at Hibbett | City Gear.
Back when Paul Litchfield invented the Reebok pump in 1989, his goal was to make a good basketball shoe. He didn’t foresee it having such a long-lasting legacy. Case in point, Reebok is still dropping new colorways of the shoe made infamous by Dee Brown during the NBA’s dunk contest.
The Reebok Pump Omni Zone II in red and white looks sharp and crisp with an all-white leather base. It’ll give you just enough jump in your step to navigate your street adventures successfully. Catch it when it drops on December 31 in men’s sizes.
A smooth leather base covers most of the upper, with perforations at the toe. Where this shoe really shines is its red accents, of which there are plenty. Red mesh panels adorn the side panel, with two distinct patches across the middle. The white zigzag TPU cage breaks up the larger of the two. This side support connects directly to two shiny red eyelet wings that help lock the white laces in place. There’s even more red mesh at the ankle and on the tongue.
Speaking of the tongue, it transitions to white toward the top. A red basketball emblem featuring “The Pump” gives you the chance to add a little more air to your stride. For comfort, ribbed red material lines the top of the tongue and the ankle. On the heel, there’s an embroidered red and black Hexalite logo. And on the lateral ankle, you’ll see “Reebok The Pump” branding as well.
All of this sits atop a white midsole and outsole. Naturally, a few red accent pieces on each further highlight the all-white flair. You wouldn’t want to wear these shoes on the court today, so instead, pair them with loose-fitting jeans and a comfortable hoodie. A red shirt would be a great touch.
