Baseball is back! On March 20, the Dodgers take on the Padres for a first-ever regular-season MLB game played in South Korea. This two-game series will be held in Seoul, and then, eight days later, on March 28, the rest of the league joins in the fun with a full slate of MLB Opening Day matchups.
This guide digs into the official MLB Opening Day 2024 schedule, along with World Series predictions — and the MLB gear any fan needs to get ready for the season.
The Seoul Series comprises two games, played on March 20–21, as part of the MLB World Tour. And, yes, the games will be part of the MLB standings.
Other games taking place as part of this MLB global recognition tour include the Mexico City Series on April 27–28 between the Rockies and Astros. The Phillies and Mets meet up for the London Series on June 8–9. The Dominican Republic Series, played March 9–10, is also a part of the tour, but those games are considered part of Spring Training — i.e., they don’t count in MLB season standings.

The one thing anyone can predict about baseball is its unpredictability. Last year’s Rangers made a stunning turnaround and went on to win the World Series. This year, though, sports bettors are keeping an eye on the Dodgers, the Braves and Astros, but they note we could see another wildcard matchup.
