Honoring His Airness and his many championships, Jordan is bringing back a fan-favorite sneaker to take you back to those glory days.
On April 18, Jordan Brand resurrects its 2006 “Defining Moments” pack of Nike Air Jordan 6 Retro sneakers. Score a pair of the Jordan 6 Retro sneakers in the “DMP” colorway, a court-ready black and gold palette, in men’s and kids’ — toddler, preschool and grade school — sizes.
While the sneaker world takes multi-shoe sneaker packs for granted these days, the concept began in 2006 with Jordan’s “Defining Moments” release, which included the black and gold Jordan 6 Retro and Jordan 11 Retro sneakers. This “DMP” Jordan 6 Retro re-release is identical to its ’06 counterpart.
The smooth nubuck upper comes dressed in black, layered and strategically perforated for a nuanced design that achieves both breathability and foot stability.
This sleek sneaker’s silhouette is reminiscent of the sports car that inspired them. Whether you’re hitting the hardcourt, the blacktop or the red carpet, you’ll feel like you’re walking on air, thanks to dual Nike Air units (one of which is visible in the heel). The resilient foam midsole protects your feet from impact, bolstering both the shoe’s responsiveness and comfort. The whole package rides atop the signature icy translucent rubber outsole.
The AJ 6 Retro gets its metallic gold appointments at the heel tab, around the midsole and on the branding to honor Michael Jordan’s on-the-court triumphs wearing the Jordan 6 Retro.
Like the 2006 “Defining Moments” release, this AJ 6 Retro comes packaged in the original 2006 gold Jumpman box and will include the OG gold dog tags.
