On January 24, pick up a pair of the newest shoe in Paul George’s Nike sneaker collection. The new men’s Nike PG 4 basketball shoe drops in a black, white and light smoke grey colorway Saturday.
Crafted by designer Tony Hardman, the men’s basketball sneaker is sleek, modern, sophisticated and streamlined making it perfect for any player or sneakerhead. The PG 4’s upper shell features tightly woven mesh covering the lateral side of the foot and a loosely woven, see-through mesh located on the medial side.
Similar to the Dame 6 and the Air Flight ’98 sneaker styles, this shoe’s upper shell includes a zipper over the lace closure. The entire containment system keeps the foot locked down in a breathable, zipped-up upper. Wearers have the option to use laces beneath the zipper or outside of it.
Whereas previous PG iterations included a forefoot zoom unit, Paul George’s fourth signature Nike shoe features a completely retooled cushioning system called the “Air Strobel.” A full-length Air unit gets stitched directly to the upper to ensure lightweight protection and game-long comfort.
Wrapped in the shoe’s thick, white EVA midsole, the Air unit is visible via an outsole window. The outsole itself comprises an icy translucent rubber with circular traction patterns for stop-on-a-dime grip.
A large white swoosh features prominently on the lateral sides, with a smaller white swoosh emblazoned on the medial.
