A colorful jumble of swings, monkey bars and slides provides a cheerful palette on any playground. This January, the Nike Air Jordan 13 Retro aims to capture the exuberant vibe of a children’s play area.
Beginning January 25, find the “Playground” kids’ Jordan 13 Retro sneakers in a white, black, Court Purple and Total Orange color scheme, perfect for even the smallest sneakerheads. These shoes come in toddler, preschool and grade school kids’ sizes.
When Nike’s own Tinker Hatfield created the OG AJ 13, he took inspiration from Jordan’s stealthy, cat-like moves on the court. In fact, the sneaker’s rounded outsole resembles a panther paw. The left shoe of this Retro release outlines the “paw” in green, while the right gets a Court Purple color treatment.
The all-white leather, synthetic and textile upper provides both stability and a premium backdrop for the kids’ Jordan 13‘s colorful adornments. A vibrant Total Orange underlay runs along the sides and around the heel on the pair’s right shoe; the left features a bright yellow underlay.
Signature details like the “23” holograms near the ankle remain, along with the more subtle Jumpman branding at the outsole and tongue.
Zoom Air units sit at both the forefoot and heel for a responsive basketball sneaker that performs in the classroom, the gym or on the playground. Midfoot shank plates add to the shoe’s stability and support, while the foam midsole bolsters the shoe’s lightweight comfort.
The AJ 13 Retro’s shoelaces come in both yellow and blue, and the webbed lacing system provides a snug, custom fit for any wearer of any size.
