There are basketball players, and then there are legends. When Michael Jordan made the jump from basketball hero to global icon, he was rocking a pair Air Jordan 7s. Along with winning his second NBA championship in his 7s and being named both a Finals and regular-season MVP, MJ led the “Dream Team” to a gold medal at the 1992 Summer Games in Barcelona.
Take your game to the next level in a pair of women’s basketball shoes steeped in history with the Air Jordan 7 Retro in the Black, Bright Crimson and Anthracite colorway. Find the latest release of this women’s basketball shoe at your local Hibbett Sports or at Hibbett | City Gear online.
As Jordan’s fame transformed into super stardom, the AJ 7 turned the sneaker world upside down. Looking to blaze the Jordan brand’s own trail, Tinker Hatfield purposely left off any exterior Nike branding on the Jordan 7 and also included a visible Air window. In a sign of things to come, the Air Jordan line began marketing itself separately from Nike basketball.
These bright and playful women’s sneakers feature a full-grain, sleek patent leather upper and vibrant splashes of back, orange, yellow and purple. The basketball shoe comes equipped with an encapsulated Air-Sole unit in the heel, a comfortable padded collar and a shock-absorbing rubber outsole.
The outsole is emblazoned with an orange Jumpman logo on the heel and is dotted with small circular pockets on the forefoot and heel for enhanced traction. The AJ 7 Retro sneaker also features forefoot flex grooves for increased overall flexibility.
Michael Jordan’s iconic jersey number “23” appears in orange under the pull tab of each shoe.
Whether you want to power down the court like you’re moving through clouds or you just want to look good on your way to work, the technical genius and fresh-to-death style of the Jordan 7 is perfect for everyone.
