As we honor Native American Heritage Month, we’re still riding the high from an unforgettable weekend in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Just one week ago, the community energy was electric as we gathered for the N7 x Hibbett x Wings of America Community Run—a celebration of culture, connection, and the Indigenous running traditions that continue to shape the sport today.
The excitement began long before anyone laced up their shoes. Our social preheat ignited conversation across Native communities, sharing the “We Run with the Land” story behind the HO25 N7 Collection. That early engagement reached more than 34,000 accounts, generated 88,000+ views, and sparked 2,100+ interactions, proving just how meaningful this initiative is across Indian Country.
When event day arrived, the spirit of togetherness was impossible to miss. Over 100 Native runners, representing more than 160 tribal affiliations, joined us—including high school athletes who had just wrapped up their state meet. The evening opened with a heartfelt welcome, followed by an alumni panel and an Elder-led land dedication and prayer. This grounding moment honored generations before us and reminded everyone why this tradition of running holds such deep cultural significance.
Participants had the chance to trial two Nike running silhouettes—one lifestyle and one performance—with special attention on the N7 V5 RNR, which has quickly become the top-selling product of the HO25 line. The momentum didn’t stop there: every participant who received a 1/4-zip wristband redeemed it, and more than a third headed back to the Hibbett store within the first hour after the run wrapped.
But beyond product and participation, the heart of this event lies in its purpose.
We gathered to honor and uplift Native youth, whose strength, discipline, and pride continue to guide the future of the sport. Their commitment reflects what it truly means to run with purpose—not just for a finish line, but for identity, healing, and community.
That’s why, on behalf of Hibbett, we were proud to present a $15,000 donation to Wings of America. This gift directly supports Indigenous youth runners, helping them pursue post-season racing opportunities through access to travel, coaching, competition, and mentorship. Wings of America has spent decades empowering Native youth through movement, culture, and connection—and we are deeply inspired by their ongoing work.
By investing in Wings, we’re investing in the next generation of Indigenous leaders—on and off the course. Leaders who will carry forward tradition. Leaders who will strengthen their communities. Leaders who will continue to show the world what it means to run with the land.
As we move through Native American Heritage Month, we honor the generations of runners whose footsteps paved the way and those who continue to blaze new trails today.
Here’s to more miles, more community, and more opportunities to celebrate Indigenous excellence—together.
