Growth doesn’t happen overnight. With consistency, care, and belief, something meaningful begins to take shape. At Hibbett, that mindset is reflected in our ongoing partnership with ZFT Run Club in Houston.
What started as an introduction last August has continued to build. After reconnecting earlier this year, we returned in April alongside Nike Running to keep investing in a community that shows up with energy and purpose.
This latest event marked a new chapter, centered around the launch of the Nike Pegasus 42. With 435 runners in attendance, including 120 ZFT racers, the day carried momentum from start to finish. Many participants laced up the Pegasus 42 ahead of race time, getting a firsthand feel for its responsive cushioning and performance. With support from Nike EKINs Haynesworth, Leila, and Ricca, Hayden, runners also gained insight into the Pegasus and Vomero franchises and how each fits into their routine.
The impact showed up on the course. From podium finishes to personal bests, ZFT athletes delivered strong performances. Gerard “Slim” Christian earned 2nd overall, Marcus Williams placed in the top 10 after a last-minute switch, and Courtney Taylor secured 2nd in her age group after stepping into the Pegasus 42s at the start line. Others, including Brittany Stampley and Joi Truman, celebrated personal wins that reflected both grit and growth.
More than results, this partnership continues to grow through connection and shared purpose. With each step forward, Hibbett, ZFT, and Nike Running are building something that lasts.
