Jordan 3 Retro "True Blue" Launching 07/17 Colorway: WHITE/FIRE RED/TRUE BLUE Style: Men's and Kid's Sneakers

Release Date: July 17, 2026

Jul 6, 2026

For all the true blue AJ3 fans out there, the Air Jordan 3 OG “True Blue” is coming. This beloved style and colorway will be available on Hibbett on July 18, and everyone will be after them.

OG Heritage and Design Details of the True Blue 3s

We’re excited to welcome the AJ3 Retro in “True Blue.” However, the OG Air Jordan 3s hold a special place in our hearts, one that the Retro could never fully fill. Unlike the Retro, which features the Jumpman logo, the Air Jordan 3 OG has the original Nike Air branding on the heel, tongue and insole. It also has a sleeker, flatter toe box that more closely resembles the 1988 release.

One of the most notable elements is the iconic Cement Grey elephant print on the upper. It’s on the front of the toe box, beneath the lace eyelets and wrapped around the lower heel. Along with the elephant print that everyone loves, this Air Jordan 3 OG release also features the “True Blue that has kept sneakerheads coming back for years. It’s a rich, vibrant shade, similar to denim blue with a bit more pigmentation. The shoe isn’t overwhelmed with blue, as it only appears around the ankle collar, along the midsole and on the lace eyelets.

Most of this colorway is white, using premium tumbled leather for a luxe look and feel. But the elephant print and True Blue details elevate the look. Plus, there are a few hints of bright red along the top of the tongue and beside the lower laces. It doesn’t look complex, but all the elements have been thoughtfully brought together for a balanced aesthetic.

Finding Your Perfect Fit In Full Family Sizing

Because the AJ3 OGs have a slimmer, rounder fit compared to Air Jordan 3 Retro shoes, they’re generally true to size. People find them to fit well without being too tight. For people with wider feet, you may want to go up a half size. It all depends on how you like your shoes to fit. If you’re using these to play basketball, a snugger fit is a safer choice. But if they’re going to be your casual, everyday shoes, a more spacious fit may be more comfortable.

When these drop on July 18, Hibbett will have them in full men’s sizing, as well as boys’ grade school and boys’ preschool sizes. That means parents can match with their kids, and children can slip into this throwback colorway and walk out in style.
