The Jordan Why Not? Zer0.6 “Bright Concord” men’s basketball shoe drops March 22 at Hibbett | City Gear.
Russell Westbrook is one of three — soon to be four — active NBA players with their own signature line from Jordan Brand. The Los Angeles Clippers point guard has been with the brand since 2012 and is inked through 2027, meaning this sixth version of his signature shoe is just one of many still to come.
The Nike Air Jordan Why Not Zero.6 “Bright Concord” is highly anticipated, and for good reason. Its combination of Bright Concord, Pink Prime and black is stunning both on and off the court. This particular colorway drops on March 22 in men’s sizes.
The upper is mostly made of the titular Bright Concord here, but there are plenty of accents at work. The purple itself is a semi-translucent grid layer with yellow lace tie-down straps and blue laces peeking through beneath. This covers the entire lateral edge of the shoe, including part of the vamp.
Surrounding this mesh grid are purple suede overlays in jagged shapes. The one at the forefoot features a golden Westbrook logo, while the one at the heel features a Pink Prime Jumpman. On the medial side, you’ll notice a black overlay with bright pink stitching and ventilation holes. The pink threads are arranged into Beastbrook’s custom logo, and the whole patch is outlined with a gray suede overlay.
In the center of this gray overlay is the sky-blue zipper that conceals the lace box. It runs asymmetrically down the shoe, starting around the heel and then ending at the midsole on the medial side. Inside the zipper, you’ll see matching blue laces, a purple tongue with a black tab with a yellow Jumpman and pink ankle padding. This all contrasts with the yellow insoles.
Another prominent feature of these unique basketball kicks is the outsole, which stretches nearly halfway up the shoe for ultimate grip. At the front of the shoe, it’s a textured black surface with white spots. At the heel, however, it becomes a tie-dyed mix of the shoe’s primary colors — purple, pink, white, black and blue. It all sits under a white midsole, which features the word “Why” on the left heel and “Not?” on the right.
Westbrook is known for his colorful style, and this shoe is no different. Throw it on with some white crew socks, black basketball shorts and a purple jersey, and you’ll look the part.
Get a taste of the grape juice with the Nike Air Jordan Why Not Zero.6 “Bright Concord.” It’s explodes (like Westbrook on the court) into stores in men’s sizes on March 22, online and at your local Hibbett | City Gear.Don’t be ashamed if you missed this drop.
