Originally designed as a tennis sneaker for Andre Agassi, the Nike Air Tech Challenge was born in 1989 and has been reborn again and again since. In the late '80s and early '90s, this sneaker was Nike’s tennis staple shoe. 

The Nike Air Tech Challenge 1 quickly gave way to the Nike Air Tech Challenge 2, which captured Agassi’s rebellious flair on the court.
