Even environmental activists need baller shoes when they’re looking to hit the hardwood. Being more environmentally friendly is the inspiration behind the Nike Cosmic Unity basketball shoes, which are now in their third year of production as a part of Nike’s Move to Zero initiative.

The Cosmic Unity 3 in Phantom, Medium Soft Pink and Bright Cactus is the latest colorway of these hit shoes, and they bring just the dose of green you’re looking for. They hit the shelves on April 20 — just in time for Earth Day — in unisex sizing.

No one will doubt your green thumb with this color combo. Though the upper is mostly a mix of creamy knitted material, there’s a mountainous embroidered shape on the lateral forefoot. The outside of the point shape is chartreuse green, while the middle is more lime. This motif repeats again on the medial lower ankle, but smaller.

Flyknit waves add some texture to the otherwise cream shoe along the vamp and lateral side. Lime green laces strap up over a white tongue and are held in place by chartreuse lace eyelets. The large tongue tab includes three embroidered logos, including the Nike Swoosh at the top, the Nike Pinwheel in the middle and the number “3” at the bottom.

A newly added plush pink Flyknit collar provides a little more comfort as you burst down the court. The heel contains a large chartreuse green tab that reads “Bring It Outside” in a pink font, which is the perfect motto for the baller outdoorsman.

The large white midsole wraps uniformly around the shoe, with a bit of a rounded bump at the midsole. The lateral side includes a mesh cutout outlined in pale green, while the medial side has the number “003” in the same color. Underfoot is the green rubber outsole with tread that helps you connect to your roots.
