The adidas Dame 8 men’s basketball shoe drops in “White/Black” and “Black/Silver/Grey” colorways August 20 at Hibbett | City Gear.

As one of basketball’s best closers, Damian Lillard knows a thing or two about how to win on the court. Perhaps that’s why the Portland Trail Blazers point guard has such a well-beloved signature line with adidas.

The latest adidas Dame 8 plays on Big Game Dame’s ability to get butts in seats with a raffle ticket theme. The “White/Black” and “Black/Silver/Grey” colorways create a men’s basketball shoe that looks sophisticated and clean. Get your ticket to the big event (aka these fun new kicks) on August 20.

An air-mesh upper keeps you cool whether you’re in double overtime or at opening tip-off. Good news—at least 25% of the components in the upper are made of at least 50% recycled content, so you can feel like you’re doing your part for the environment.

Across the lateral middle, there is an eye-catching lightning bolt design in gray. Behind that are the traditional Three Stripes. The medial side skips the Three Strips and just has the lightning bolt.

However, the medial side does have one added element—an off-center, decorative heel strap that runs from the top of the heel to the midsole. This strip of branding shows white “Admit One” tickets. The back of the heel continues this theme, with a larger “Admit One” logo with two stars in white.

Laces with gray accents cover the mesh tongue. Make sure you don’t miss the graphic tongue tab, which features more tickets—this time, with the Dame and adidas logos in white. There’s also the date “6-28-2012,” which is the day Dame was selected 6th overall in the NBA draft by Portland. As a final touch, a black Bounce Pro midsole is mated to a translucent, off-white rubber outsole.

This shoe is pretty neutral as far as colors go, so you can really pair it with any of your favorite basketball gear. It might look sick with neon green or red socks as showstoppers. Then, get a pair of metallic silver basketball shorts, and you’ll be well on your way to being an on-court icon.
