When Damian Lillard steps onto the court, fans know it’s “Dame Time.” The point guard’s willingness to make big, bold moves and dynamic playing style has earned him plenty of All-Star glory, but not without the help of his performance-enhancing footwear. Lillard’s sixth signature adidas sneaker, the Dame 6, drops January 31 in the new men’s “Dame Time” white, scarlet and black colorway.
“Big Game Dame’s” latest release incorporates a design that speaks volumes to his playing style. Taking its palette from the Portland Trail Blazers’ white, red and black color scheme, these Dame 6s are built specifically for explosive movement.
Multiple layers of loosely-woven white mesh characterize the textile upper on the shoes’ lateral sides, partially obscuring the scarlet webbed lacing system. The medial sides of the shoes get a more tightly woven black and scarlet treatment punctuated by white webbed cable.
An oversized white heel spoiler with scarlet striping echoes the design of the shoe’s tongue. Hits of branding include the scarlet adidas logo, also on the tongue, and subtle white Three Stripes on the lateral sides. While the upper and the lacing system provide comfort and durability, the shoe’s under-foot technology will help you get the ball to the basket or put your sneaker game over the top.
An oversized, white Lightstrike midsole offers energy-returning cushioning, complemented by an interplay of black, scarlet and white coloring on the sneaker’s traction pattern. These elements give way to an icy outsole, which extends up the shoe’s sidewall and rounds out.
