Nike has been going crazy with Nike Dunk High releases this spring and summer to honor the shoe’s 36th birthday. We’ve already seen a ton of colorways hit shelves, but the brand isn’t done yet. The latest to come from this legendary line of kicks is a “Lemon Twist” colorway dropping exclusively in women’s sizes on 10/6.

After such a scorching summer, it’s finally nice to have a little respite from the intensity of the heat. The latest offering from the Swoosh gives you a creamy cool, pastel-toned treat for your feet.

While the Nike Dunk began life in the ’80s as a way for Nike to appeal to collegiate athletes and their fans, the sneakers have evolved into a timeless lifestyle choice that mimics the look of the Air Jordan 1. The “Lemon Twist” women’s shoe forgoes the traditional collegiate color-blocking in favor of cream, pastel pink, lavender and lemon sherbet hues.

With its breathable toebox and high-cut collar, the white leather upper sets the tone for the sneaker. A barely-there pink mudguard trims the front of the shoe, while a yellow overlay — which surrounds the heel and arcs up to form the top two lacing eyelets — offers a citrusy twist.

The cream-colored Swooshes along the shoe’s sides provide a nice accent to the creamy outsole below a white foam midsole. A whisper of lavender composes the remainder of the lacing system, contributing to the serene, understated feel of the women’s sneakers. White laces weave in and out of the lacing system atop a white textile throat. A shiny tongue tag includes Nike branding in the same pink as the mudguard.
