Damian Lillard is a man of many talents. In addition to leading the Portland Trail Blazers in points on the hardcourt night after night, he’s also got a voice role in the upcoming “Space Jam” film starring LeBron James. Lillard is also has a increasingly impressive footing the rap game, where he’s better known as Dame D.O.L.L.A. Bottom line — we’ve got mad respect for Dame Time.

But we aren’t the only ones who recognize his potential for greatneess. adidas tapped into his star-making talents early on, signing a contract with him back in 2012 during his rookie season. The brand released Lillard’s first signature shoe — the D Lillard 1 — in 2015 in several vibrant and expressive colorways. Today, the sneakersphere is blessed with seven models from the Dame signature line. The Dame 7 dropped during the 2020 NBA Finals, but this month an all-new colorway is making its debut. Dubbed “Respect Pink” the Rose Tone, Icey Pink and white colored Dame 7 launches on June 5 in men’s and grade school kids’ sizes.

So far, not much is known about this shoe, but we do know it will be an EXTPLY model.

EXTPLY stands for “extended play” and is a tribute to Lillard’s musical career. While the shoe’s profile and features are the same as a typical Dame 7, you’ll find the words “Opponent Advisory” on the lateral side — a fun pun on the common phrase “Parental Advisory” often found on albums.

The shoe itself is one you’ll love, whether you’re tearing up the court or the recording booth. A Lightstrike midsole gives you the cushioning you need to go up for a jump shot without fear, all while staying light on your feet. Underfoot, the rubber outsole gives you all the traction you need for evasive moves on the hardwood.

And one of the coolest things about this postseason basketball shoe? You’ll be doing your part for the environment, as 20% of the shoe is made with at least 50% recycled content. Add “saving the environment” to the long list of Dame Time’s achievements.

Big Game Dame is clearly a master at whatever he tries, as is evidenced by his six NBA All-Star selections and chart-topping musical releases.
