Sneakers Release – adidas x Pharrell HU NMD “Bold Gold” Unisex Shoe

What makes you happy? Is it bright, vibrant colors, a sunshine-filled day or clapping along to your favorite tunes? adidas recently teamed up with “Happy” singer Pharrell Williams to create the brand’s latest trio of cheerfully-colored sneakers.

No matter how dreary the winter, rediscover your version of happy with a pair of bright blue, pink or yellow sneakers — or snag all three so you can mix and match depending on your mood. The adidas x Pharrell NMD HU “Bold Gold” colorway drops in unisex sizes on November 7. The Pharrell pack’s blue and pink renditions are set to launch later this month.

The Pharrell x adidas collaboration celebrates the diverse hues of humanity. They’re big on style, details and color. The “HU” stands for “human race,” and each shoe uniquely conveys that message of humanity.

Breathable Primeknit fabric dresses the shoe’s entire upper, including the tongue and the heel, which are outlined in black. All three colorways feature inspirational messaging embroidered in tonal threads along the vamp. The bright blue edition features the word “Uluntu,” which translates to “humanity” and reportedly gets its inspiration from South Africa. The “Bold Gold’s” embroidery reads “Human Race” in Hindi. Heel tabs on each men’s sneaker appear in a lighter hue, complete with Pharrell and adidas branding.

The vamp messaging takes the place of a traditional throat and lacing system. Instead, speckled rope laces in lighter-toned colors run back and forth from the midfoot lace cages situated on either side of the shoe. Anchored by molded EVA plugs running along the midsole, these grid-like TPU lace cages work to effectively lock in the foot while forgoing traditional shoe tying.

A tone-on-tone Boost midsole comprises thousands of energy-returning pebbles that offer out-of-this-world shock absorption and comfort. Traditional EVA inserts inside the shoe and a durable rubber outsole contribute to the overall comfort of this runner.
