Depending on the angle at which you view the latest release from the Air Jordan line, iridescent material takes on a shimmer of light-changing colors. This January, get a glimpse of the latest Jordan 9 Retro in the “Racer Blue” colorway, a masterfully designed color palette featuring a black backdrop, white outsole, Racer Blue embellishments and iridescent mudguards that make the shoe seem to glow from within. These shoes drop January 25 in men’s sizes.
This “Racer Blue”’ Retro rendition comprises an all-black nubuck, suede and textile upper, paired with a matching midsole, liner and heel pull tabs riding atop a white rubber outsole. At certain vantage points, the Jordans’ the iridescent 3M mudguard imparts a subtle, light-catching sheen, which becomes more noticeable under black light.
A “Racer Blue” colored globe located on the sneaker’s heel backdrops the collection’ Jumpman logo recognizes the globalization of the Jordan brand. Additional nods to Jordan’s world-wide popularity can be found on the Jordan 9 Retro’s outsole, which features various international symbols commemorating different countries where Michael Jordan is a household name.
Performance and style intersect in the AJ 9 Retro, thanks to the basketball shoe’s super lightweight design, locked-down feel, Air-Sole heel and forefoot cushions, speed lacing system and super grip outsole pattern.
